Sales and Marketing Executive (Technology Sector) – East Africa Region
Department: Sales and Marketing
Location: Nairobi or Dar es Salaam Offices.
Reports to: Regional Director
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales and Marketing Executive with a specialization in selling technology solutions to businesses across Africa.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the African market, a strong background in technology sales, and a proven track record in developing and executing successful sales and marketing strategies.
This is a hybrid working role.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy and Execution
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the company's market presence in Africa.
• Identify and target potential clients in various sectors such as construction, agriculture, utilities, manufacturing, telecommunications, transportation, finance, healthcare, education, and government.
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay updated with industry trends.
2. Client Relationship Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target organizations.
• Understand clients' needs and propose tailored technology solutions to meet their requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
3. Marketing Strategy and Implementation
• Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote the company's technology solutions in the African market.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging content, including brochures, presentations, case studies, and digital marketing materials.
• Organize and participate in industry events, trade shows, webinars, and conferences to increase brand awareness and generate leads.
4. Sales Operations and Reporting
• Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, pipeline, and client interactions using customer relationship management software.
• Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
5. Collaboration and Teamwork
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, customer support, and finance, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
• Provide feedback to the product development team on market needs and customer preferences to drive product enhancements.
Qualifications and Skills
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and marketing, with a focus on selling technology solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• Strong understanding of the African business landscape and cultural nuances.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in using CRM software and other sales and marketing tools.
• Ability to travel within East Africa if required.
